The British time trial champion was killed on Tuesday after being knocked off his bike by a van while training in Scotland.

“He was the best road cyclist in Scotland and as good as anyone in Britain. He was in the prime of his career,” said Bryan Smith, a former Scotland manager and Olympic rider (Reuters).

One Response to “Light a candle for Jason MacIntyre”

  1. Indeed. I had barely heard of Jason before his death; nevertheless, I was deeply saddened by this.

The fact that he leaves behind a wife and two young daughters – one of whom needed full-time care due to a serious medical condition – makes it even more tragic.

Jason was his daughter Megan’s full-time carer. His family will now need to find money to pay for a carer for Megan.
