What’s important in the US mid-term elections
November 6, 2006
I’m glad we don’t have political advertising like this in the UK.
And it’s coming from both sides:
Amongst all this, Miami Herald’s Carl Hiaasen reminds voters what’s important in his piece What to recall, what to forget on Election Day posted yesterday.
While people are getting caught up in the issues surrounding illegal immigration, gay marriages, income taxes and John Kerry, they are forgetting about Iraq and what it is costing in both lives and dollars.
What dismays me most is the conclusion from the National Intelligence Estimate: the occupation of Iraq has galvanized Islamic radicals and actually increased the global threat of terrorism. Well done everybody.
